Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about TechVillage - the format, selection, logistics, and what to expect.

Is TechVillage a conference?

No. TechVillage is not built around panels, mass networking, or public pitching. It is a small, curated investment environment designed for focused conversations, structured founder sessions, investor feedback, and meaningful follow-up.

Who is TechVillage for?

TechVillage is built for funded pre-seed and seed startups preparing for a follow-on raise, and for active investors looking for curated access to early-stage startups from Moldova and across EU, EaP & Western Balkans.

Is the event public?

No. TechVillage is invite-only. Registration of interest does not guarantee participation. All participants go through a selection and confirmation process before receiving access to payment and event details.

What makes the format different?

The core format is the Investment Stage: a 20-minute structured session for each startup. Instead of a short pitch followed by vague networking, each founder gets time for business model questions, GTM discussion, fundraising context, and cap table review.

How does the Investment Stage work?

Each startup session is structured as follows:

  • 3 minutes - pitch
  • 5 minutes - business model and go-to-market Q&A
  • 2 minutes - fundraising overview
  • 10 minutes - cap table and round structure Q&A
Will every founder pitch?

Yes. Every selected startup receives a structured Investment Stage session.

Will there be public rankings or winners?

No. TechVillage is not a competition. There are no “top 3” awards, public rankings, or winner announcements. The focus is on mutual fit, investor feedback, and qualified follow-up.

Is TechVillage suitable for idea-stage startups?

No. The format is designed for startups that already have traction, exceptional founders, and a clear next fundraising strategy.

What are the founder tracks?

We welcome AI-first companies that may be bootstrapped or already funded, but have early traction, a clear product direction, and a specific ask - whether that means fundraising, strategic introductions, market access, investor feedback, or support for the next stage of growth.

What do founders get from participating?

Founders get a 20-minute Investment Stage session, access to a curated investor room, European peer-founder connections, and constant support.

What is expected from founders before the event?

Selected founders will be asked to prepare and submit key materials, including a pitch deck, company profile and fundraising summary.

Who can participate as an investor?

TechVillage is designed for early-stage VCs and angel investors actively investing and scouting for AI-powered cross-vertical startups.

What do investors receive after the event?

Investors receive structured follow-up information to support next steps, including relevant company summaries, contact pathways, and session-related data where applicable.
