These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the TechVillage website, the application and selection process, ticket purchase, payment, participation, and attendance at TechVillage 2026.

By using our website, submitting an application, registering interest, purchasing a ticket, confirming participation, or attending TechVillage, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Please read them carefully before applying, registering, or making payment.

1. About TechVillage

TechVillage 2026 is a networking event taking place in Moldova, bringing together AI-first founders, investors, partners, and ecosystem leaders for a curated three-day experience.

The event includes structured founder-investor sessions, ecosystem conversations, networking moments, shared meals, cultural experiences, accommodation coordination, local transfers, and post-event follow-up support where relevant.

TechVillage is not a public ticketed event. Participation is subject to application, pre-selection, final confirmation, and payment where applicable.

In these Terms & Conditions, "TechVillage," "we," "us," or "our" refers to the organizing entity responsible for TechVillage 2026.

3. Definitions

For clarity:

Event means TechVillage 2026, including all official activities, sessions, meals, transfers, and related program elements.

Participant means any person confirmed to attend TechVillage, including founders, investors, partners, speakers, guests, or ecosystem representatives.

Applicant means any person or organization submitting an application or registration of interest.

Founder means a participant applying or attending on behalf of a startup or company.

Investor means a participant attending as an angel investor, fund representative, VC partner, institutional investor, fund-of-funds representative, or investment-related participant.

Ticket or Participation Package means the paid or confirmed access granted to a participant for TechVillage.

Website means the official TechVillage website.

4. Selection-Only Participation

TechVillage is intentionally small and carefully curated. We limit attendance to protect the quality of connections, conversations, and follow-up that make the experience truly valuable.

Submitting an application or registration of interest does not guarantee participation.

Participation may depend on factors including, but not limited to:

  • relevance to TechVillage's concept;
  • founder stage and traction;
  • AI-first focus;
  • investor activity and investment focus;
  • ecosystem relevance;
  • availability of places;
  • alignment with the event format;
  • overall balance of the participant group.

We reserve the right to accept or decline applications at our discretion.

5. Application and Selection Process

The application and selection process may include the following stages:

5.1 Application

Applicants submit information through the TechVillage website, application form, email, partner referral, or another official channel.

Applicants are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.

5.2 Pre-selection

The TechVillage team reviews applications for initial fit based on the event criteria.

Pre-selection does not guarantee final acceptance.

5.3 Selection

Shortlisted applicants may be reviewed more closely to determine final participation.

We may request additional information, documents, profile details, or clarification before confirming participation.

5.4 Confirmation

Selected applicants receive official confirmation from the TechVillage team.

Participation is only secured after completion of any required registration steps and payment, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6. Tickets, Participation Packages, and Pricing

Ticket prices are displayed on the TechVillage website and may vary based on the selected accommodation option, room availability, and participation package. Each ticket option includes the elements listed on the website at the time of purchase.

Before completing payment, participants are responsible for reviewing the selected ticket type, price, included services, accommodation details, and any applicable taxes or fees.

All prices are listed in €. Where applicable, taxes, payment fees, or invoice details will be shown before payment is completed.

6.1 Ticket options

Available ticket or participation options may include:

  • Founder participation package;
  • Investor participation package;
  • Partner package.

6.2 Pricing

Prices may be listed on the website, sent by email, or communicated directly to confirmed participants.

6.3 Limited availability

TechVillage has limited capacity. A place is not secured until payment is completed and confirmed by the TechVillage team, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7. Payment Terms

Payment instructions will be provided after selection and confirmation.

Accepted payment methods may include:

  • bank transfer;
  • card payment;
  • online payment link;
  • invoice payment;
  • other methods confirmed by the organizer.

Participants must complete payment by the deadline communicated by TechVillage. If payment is not received by the deadline, we may release the place to another applicant.

The participant is responsible for any bank charges, currency conversion fees, or third-party payment fees, unless otherwise stated.

8. What Is Included

The exact inclusions may depend on the selected participation package.

Unless otherwise stated, a standard TechVillage participation package may include:

  • access to the official TechVillage program;
  • opening ecosystem meetup and reception;
  • Investment Stage sessions;
  • shared meals and coffee breaks included in the agenda;
  • accommodation during the official event period in Butuceni and Trebujeni villages;
  • local transfers connected to the official program;
  • cultural experience elements;
  • participant preparation materials;
  • event communication and on-site support;
  • post-event follow-up support where relevant.

9. What Is Not Included

Unless expressly confirmed in writing, the following are not included:

  • international travel to and from Moldova;
  • flights;
  • visas or travel authorizations;
  • personal travel insurance;
  • extra hotel nights outside the official event period;
  • private transfers outside the official program;
  • meals, drinks, or services outside the official agenda;
  • personal expenses;
  • medical costs;
  • additional services requested by participants.

Participants are responsible for making and paying for their own travel arrangements unless otherwise agreed in writing.

10. Accommodation

TechVillage includes accommodation as part of the participation package.

Participants will be accommodated in Butuceni and/or nearby Trebujeni, depending on availability, logistics, and room allocation.

Participants should expect rustic, local-style accommodation rather than a standard corporate hotel environment.

10.1 Room allocation

Room allocation is managed by the TechVillage team.

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate preferences, but we cannot guarantee specific rooms or room-sharing arrangements.

10.2 Accommodation standards

Accommodation providers are third-party venues or hospitality partners. While we coordinate accommodation arrangements, the venue may have its own rules, policies, and liability limitations.

Participants are responsible for respecting the accommodation property, staff, and rules.

10.3 Damage

Participants may be responsible for any damage they cause to accommodation, venues, transport, or event property.

11. Transfers and Local Logistics

TechVillage may organize local transfers connected to the official program, including transfers between Chișinău, Orheiul Vechi, Butuceni, Trebujeni, and other event locations.

Transfer times, meeting points, and logistics will be communicated before or during the event.

Participants are responsible for being on time for organized transfers. We are not responsible for missed transfers caused by late arrival, failure to follow instructions, or personal schedule changes.

Private or additional transfers outside the official program may not be covered and may be arranged at the participant's own cost.

12. Food, Dietary Preferences, and Allergies

TechVillage includes selected meals and coffee breaks as part of the official program.

Participants may be asked to provide dietary preferences, restrictions, or allergy information before the event.

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate them.

Participants with severe allergies or medical dietary requirements should notify the organizing team in advance and take appropriate personal precautions.

13. Event Program and Changes

The published agenda, speakers, venues, sessions, timings, menus, accommodation arrangements, and other event details may be subject to change.

We reserve the right to make changes where necessary, including due to:

  • operational reasons;
  • safety or security considerations;
  • weather;
  • transport issues;
  • venue availability;
  • force majeure events;
  • low or high demand for specific formats;
  • circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes to confirmed participants.

Changes to the agenda or program do not automatically entitle participants to a refund unless required by applicable law or expressly stated in our cancellation policy.

14. Investment Stage and Founder-Investor Interactions

TechVillage includes an Investment Stage format, where selected startups may present to investors and participate in Q&A.

The Investment Stage is designed to facilitate relevant conversations between founders and investors. It does not guarantee:

  • investment;
  • funding;
  • term sheets;
  • partnerships;
  • customer contracts;
  • introductions beyond the event;
  • specific investor interest;
  • any commercial outcome.

Participants are responsible for their own business decisions, investment decisions, due diligence, legal review, and negotiations.

TechVillage does not provide financial, legal, investment, tax, or fundraising advice.

15. Participant Information and Materials

Participants may be asked to provide information such as professional profiles, company details, investment focus, pitch materials, founder profiles, or other relevant materials.

By submitting materials, you confirm that:

  • the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
  • you have the right to share it;
  • it does not infringe third-party rights;
  • it does not contain unlawful, misleading, or harmful content.

We may use participant information for:

  • application review;
  • selection;
  • event preparation;
  • participant profiles;
  • session planning;
  • introductions;
  • post-event follow-up;
  • event communications.

Commercially sensitive information should only be shared if you are comfortable with its use for TechVillage-related purposes. Additional confidentiality terms may apply where agreed separately in writing.

16. Confidentiality

TechVillage may include discussions involving business models, fundraising plans, investment interests, market strategies, or other commercially sensitive information.

Participants agree to treat confidential or non-public information shared by other participants with care and discretion.

Unless information is already public, participants should not disclose another participant's confidential business information without permission.

The event is designed to encourage trust and meaningful conversations. Participants are expected to respect that environment.

17. Code of Conduct

TechVillage is built around professional, respectful, and meaningful interaction.

All participants are expected to:

  • behave respectfully toward other participants, staff, partners, and venue teams;
  • avoid harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or inappropriate conduct;
  • respect cultural, professional, and personal differences;
  • follow event rules and staff instructions;
  • respect venue, accommodation, and transport rules;
  • avoid disruptive behavior;
  • use shared spaces responsibly;
  • engage in good faith.

We reserve the right to remove any participant from the event without refund if their behavior is inappropriate, unsafe, unlawful, disruptive, or inconsistent with the standards of TechVillage.

18. Health, Safety, and Personal Responsibility

Participants are responsible for their own health, safety, travel readiness, and personal belongings.

Participants should ensure they have:

  • valid travel documents;
  • any required visas or entry permissions;
  • suitable travel insurance;
  • medical insurance where appropriate;
  • any required medication;
  • awareness of personal health needs;
  • suitable clothing and footwear for the event setting.

TechVillage may take reasonable measures to support participant safety and logistics, but participants remain responsible for their own travel decisions and personal wellbeing.

19. Travel Documents, Visa, and Insurance

Participants are responsible for checking and securing any required passports, visas, permits, travel documents, or entry requirements for Moldova.

TechVillage is not responsible if a participant is unable to attend because of visa refusal, travel document issues, border restrictions, airline issues, missed flights, or other travel-related problems.

We strongly recommend that participants obtain appropriate travel insurance covering cancellation, medical needs, personal belongings, and travel disruption.

20. Photography, Video, and Media

TechVillage may include photography, filming, audio recording, or other media capture.

By attending the event, you acknowledge that you may appear in photos, videos, or recordings taken during the event.

We may use event media for:

  • event documentation;
  • website content;
  • social media;
  • press and media communication;
  • partner communication;
  • post-event reports;
  • future promotion of TechVillage.

If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please notify the organizing team before or during the event. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request, but we cannot guarantee exclusion from all group or background images.

21. Intellectual Property

All TechVillage names, logos, branding, website content, designs, text, graphics, event materials, and program concepts are owned by or licensed to TechVillage or its partners.

Participants may not use TechVillage branding, logos, photos, videos, or materials for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

Participants retain ownership of their own company materials, pitch decks, trademarks, logos, and intellectual property.

By providing materials to TechVillage, you grant us a limited right to use them for event-related purposes, such as application review, participant profiles, session planning, and relevant event communication.

22. Website Use

You agree not to use the TechVillage website in a way that:

  • violates applicable law;
  • interferes with website security or functionality;
  • attempts unauthorized access to systems or data;
  • uploads harmful code or malware;
  • copies or scrapes website content without permission;
  • misrepresents your identity or affiliation;
  • submits false or misleading information.

We may restrict access to the website or services where we reasonably believe misuse has occurred.

23. Third-Party Services

TechVillage may use or link to third-party services, including:

  • payment providers;
  • registration platforms;
  • accommodation providers;
  • transport providers;
  • hospitality partners;
  • analytics tools;
  • email tools;
  • map services;
  • social media platforms;
  • partner websites.

Third-party services are subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party acts, omissions, errors, service failures, or policies, except where required by law.

24. Cancellation by Participant

If you wish to cancel your participation, you must notify us in writing at:

Cancellation terms may depend on the date of cancellation and the costs already committed by TechVillage.

Suggested cancellation structure

  • Cancellation more than 14 days before the event: partial refund 25%
  • Cancellation less than 14 days before the event: no refund

Refunds, where applicable, may exclude payment processing fees, bank charges, currency conversion fees, or non-refundable costs already incurred.

Please confirm the final refund policy with legal counsel before publishing.

25. Transfer of Participation

Participation is personal and may not be transferred to another person or organization without prior written approval from TechVillage.

If a participant can no longer attend, TechVillage may review whether a replacement is possible. Approval is not guaranteed and may depend on selection criteria, participant category, timing, and event balance.

26. Cancellation or Postponement by TechVillage

We may cancel, postpone, relocate, or modify TechVillage where necessary due to circumstances including, but not limited to:

  • force majeure;
  • safety concerns;
  • transport disruption;
  • public health restrictions;
  • government measures;
  • extreme weather;
  • operational issues;
  • insufficient feasibility;
  • circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

If the event is cancelled or postponed, we will communicate available options to confirmed participants. These may include:

  • transfer to a new date;
  • credit for a future event;
  • partial or full refund, depending on circumstances;
  • another solution communicated by the organizer.

We are not responsible for additional costs incurred by participants, such as flights, extra accommodation, visas, insurance, or personal expenses, unless required by law.

27. Force Majeure

TechVillage will not be liable for failure or delay in performing obligations where caused by events outside our reasonable control.

Force majeure events may include:

  • natural disasters;
  • extreme weather;
  • war or armed conflict;
  • civil unrest;
  • strikes;
  • transport disruption;
  • epidemic or pandemic;
  • government restrictions;
  • border closures;
  • venue closure;
  • power outages;
  • internet or infrastructure failures;
  • other events beyond our reasonable control.

28. Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TechVillage is not liable for:

  • indirect or consequential losses;
  • loss of profit, business, revenue, opportunity, goodwill, or data;
  • personal travel disruption;
  • visa or border issues;
  • third-party service failures;
  • loss or damage to personal belongings;
  • decisions made by founders, investors, or participants;
  • failure to secure investment, funding, partnership, or business outcomes.

Participants attend and participate at their own risk, subject to applicable law.

29. No Guarantee of Outcomes

TechVillage is designed to facilitate meaningful founder-investor conversations and relevant follow-up.

However, we do not guarantee:

  • investment;
  • fundraising success;
  • investor meetings after the event;
  • commercial agreements;
  • partnerships;
  • media coverage;
  • specific introductions;
  • business results;
  • financial outcomes.

Participants remain responsible for their own decisions, due diligence, negotiations, and professional advice.

30. Data Protection and Privacy

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy (we refer to our Privacy Policy) and Cookie Policy (we refer to our Cookie Policy).

By using the website, applying, registering, paying, or attending, you acknowledge that your personal data will be processed as described in those policies.

31. Communications

By applying, registering, or participating, you agree that TechVillage may contact you about:

  • application status;
  • selection results;
  • payment;
  • invoices;
  • event logistics;
  • accommodation;
  • transfers;
  • preparation materials;
  • participant updates;
  • event changes;
  • post-event follow-up.

Marketing communications will be handled according to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

32. Complaints and Issues During the Event

Each participant gets a dedicated concierge during the event who has to be contated in case of any issues during TechVillage.

We encourage participants to raise concerns early, especially regarding accommodation, transfers, meals, access, conduct, or safety.

33. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms & Conditions are regulated by the Legislation of the Republic of Moldova, unless mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms & Conditions or TechVillage will first be addressed through good-faith discussion.

If no resolution is reached, disputes will be submitted to the competent courts, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

34. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The latest version will be published on the TechVillage website with the updated date.

If changes are significant and affect confirmed participants, we may notify participants by email or another appropriate communication channel.
